Many revelations as I take in the music with the credits, sat in my seat, gently hand blotting the tears still flowing from my face following the part 1 title card. Cynthia Erivo’s “The Wizard And I” to her verse in “Defying Gravity” is an art lived through so deeply my soul resonated with and experienced with Elphaba’s. Ariana’s dedication to the imagined world as Glinda is inspiring as an artist, we witness the possibilities and magic that ensues when we prepare with love and trust our bodies and selves to be a vessel for the art to flow through us. Inspired, in awe and intimately understood with “my future is unlimited.” Thank you Wicked, part 1.
